You don’t have to worry
And don’t you be afraid
Joy comes in the morning
Troubles they don’t last always
For there’s a friend in Jesus

Do we realize that our belief system is ultimately what will determine whether we live a successful life or not?

Since our thoughts are what our belief system is composed of,

we should take great care in what we are thinking about because our thoughts influence the outcome of every area of our life.

Are we thinking about what we’re thinking about?

The Bible says, “As a man thinks, so is he”. I believe it is safe to assume that as a man continues to think, so he will remain. Along the same line, as a man changes his thinking, so he will change himself, and therefore, his circumstances.

Obviously the key to changing our belief system is changing our thoughts.

Can we think of some things we may have heard growing up that could be influencing our beliefs today?

If we were told that money doesn’t grow on trees, we will believe that money is hard to come by and we will always struggle with lack.

If we were teased about being fat as a child we may struggle with our weight today.

If we were constantly told that we were fat as a child our belief system says we’re fat, and even though dieting and exercise will work just like it will for anyone, we will not sustain permanent weight loss. The fat child picture burns in our mind causing us to regain any weight we may have lost.

The same goes for finances. If we’ve never had a large amount of money and all of a sudden come into some, we will probably find a way to blow it all. we will sabotage it because in our mind, we do not see our self as a financially successful person. It is a fact that the working class earn and spend and the wealthy save and invest. It’s all a matter of thinking, and thinking is a matter of beliefs.

Procrastination, tardiness, lack of follow through, fear of failure are all qualities that start as thoughts. These thoughts can became entrenched in our belief system and become obstacles to living an abundant and prosperous life.

Think rightly about the things we want to attract. Get around like minded people who have the kind of life we want to live. Go out to dinner with them, sit around a fire pit and talk about ideas, or play golf together. If they are not physically accessible, listen to their tapes and read their books.

We must take care of what we put into our minds. For what goes in may also come out.

So…….

This article is in the succession of my last reflection “Are we Thinking About What we’re Thinking About?”

I have been thinking about many of the problems in my life before but when I thought there are lots of issues out in this world bigger than my problem. I analyzed and I had to start re-thinking and prioritized my thinking level.

Climate change and Global Warming is biggest issue today in this world among all common issues. So I am going to take an initiative for this issue (little bit contribution from my side) by first writing about this regularly as much as I can.

We have a serious issue pertaining to Global Warming in front of us and I think most of us have not even heard about this or taken seriously if heard…..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The World is going to an End……
Why ? When ? How ?
There is increasing evidence that the earth’s climate has warmed on average about 0.7 C in the last century. Many global ecosystems, especially the polar areas, are showing signs of warming. CO2 emissions have increased during this same time period — and emissions from fossil fuels and land use changes are one source of these emissions.
The Science
The greenhouse effect has been part of the earth’s workings since its earliest days. Gases like carbon dioxide and methane allow sunlight to reach the earth, but prevent some of the resulting heat from radiating back out into space. Without the greenhouse effect, the planet would never have warmed enough to allow life to form. But as ever larger amounts of carbon dioxide have been released along with the development of industrial economies, the atmosphere has grown warmer at an accelerating rate: Since 1970, temperatures have gone up at nearly three times the average for the 20th century.
What Is GLOBAL WARMING?
Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.
The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it’s already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a natural occurrence. The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.
The Causes
For all the technological gloss of the 21st century, the UK is still living in an industrial era, pumping out emissions from coal, oil and gas. Worse, our energy is supplied through a criminally wasteful, centralised energy system; two thirds of all energy generated in UK power stations is lost as waste heat – up the chimney and along transmission lines. But there are clean, affordable and proven solutions for the most polluting sectors: electricity, transport, industry and domestic.
Since the Industrial Revolution (around 1750), human activities have substantially 	  added to the amount of heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. 	  The burning of fossil fuels and biomass has also resulted in emissions of aerosols that absorb and emit heat, 	  and reflect light.
The addition of greenhouse gases and aerosols has changed 	    the composition 	    of the atmosphere.
The Impacts
The changes in the atmosphere have likely influenced 	    temperature, precipitation, storms and sea level.
The 0.6 degree rise we’ve experienced already kills 150,000 people every year. Glaciers, permafrost and sea ice are disappearing. Sea levels are rising, seasons changing and extreme weather becoming more extreme. As temperatures increase further, there will almost inevitably be more flooding, more drought, more disease, more famine and more war, creating hundreds of millions of refugees and causing the destruction of entire ecosystems and species. During 1750 – 1900 it was increasing by 0.6-1.1 inches as per climate changes BUT…..
By 2100, sea levels are likely to rise between 7 to 23 inches, it said, and the changes now underway will continue for centuries to come.
How much climate change can we bear?
An average temperature rise of around 1.3 degrees centigrade above pre-industrial levels is already inevitable and will bring with it some terrible impacts worldwide. If that figure hits two degrees, many scientists say that not only will the impacts be much greater, but the probability of feedback mechanisms kicking in will be much higher; climate change could spiral completely out of control.
The politics (International)
Carbon emissions don’t respect borders and the sad fact is that the world’s most vulnerable people are the ones that are suffering most from its impacts. With countries like China and India in the middle of their own industrial revolutions, it’s clear we need a global framework and global cooperation to address the problem. The Kyoto Protocol is a crucial first step but far, far more needs to be done. United States of America has been working over these issues since long but big players in Energy Emission Market have been effecting these solution steps so far. Like Exxon ( A Part of ExxonMobil ):
As the world’s largest private oil company, ExxonMobil has the power to direct the energy industry and policy makers toward a cleaner, more secure energy future. Instead, ExxonMobil is using its profits and power to take America and the world backwards and keep us addicted to oil.
ExxonMobil has done more than any other company to stop the world from tackling climate change.
For over a decade, it has tried to sabotage international climate change negotiations and block agreements that would lead to greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
ExxonMobil also funds groups to produce junk science that denies climate change and supports the climate sceptics, delaying the action that’s so urgently needed on climate change.
ExxonMobil is also a member of Arctic Power, the lobby group trying to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.
The Solutions
There is no doubt we can solve this problem. In fact, we have a moral obligation to do so. Small changes to your daily routine can add up to big differences in helping to stop global warming. The time to come together to solve this problem is now – TAKE ACTION.
Today morning i was watching TV and on a big tv channel, there was a advertisement coming calling indian citizen to get up ” Jaago Re…. Jaago Re.... ” I think it was of some tea company.
IS the person (young man in the Ad), who is confidently asking to give vote surely, REALLY ready to give his vote for a RIGHT candidate???
Can he tell us ONE who is true and responsible enough to take the responsibility of a family of more than 100 Crore members….?????
My own problem:  I do not like any of the contestants in my constituency. I am never going to vote for a _____ candidate. I don’t like any of the other candidates. I don’t want to vote for any of the others anyway as they are openly being talked of as potential losers. So I resigned myself to not exercising my democratic privilege in this election.
I learnt recently that there is another option open to voters like me. Rule/Article 49 (O) of the Conduct of Election Rules 1961 gives the voter the right to register at the polling booth, get his/her index finger inked, but refrain from casting the vote. The electoral officer then has to make an entry under the rule.
Did you EVER know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in ” 49-O” that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn’t want to vote anyone!
Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it.
This is called “49-O”. For reference : check Website of Ministry of Law & Justice :
http://lawmin.nic.in/ld/subord/cer1.htm
Also It is clearly mentioned in the CHAPTER XX  of Presiding Officer’s Handbook published by Govt. of India
Why shouldn’t you go and say ” I VOTE NOBODY”… because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received “49-O” votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way; of our whole political system… it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public….
The Indian Democracy reveals such surprises sometimes. And here is the really good part. If the rejections exceed the number of votes polled, a re-election is ordered, but  If the rejections exceed the number of votes polled, a re-election is ordered, but the rejected candidates do not have the right to contest again.
—————–
1947: Independence and Partition
Muslim refugees crowd onto a train near New Delhi during the bloody Partition of Hindu-majority India and Muslim-majority Pakistan. Some 15 million people are displaced and an estimated 500,000 killed in the savage violence sparked by Britain’s division of its former colony.
1952: Towards Socialism
The Congress Party, headed by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, triumphs in the young nation’s first general election. Nehru establishes a five-year plan for agricultural reform, committing India to a socialist path to development.
1962: India vs. China
Reinforcements head to the front after China steamrolls India’s unprepared defenses, seizing a chunk of Kashmir that it holds to this day. The defeat is a dark moment in India’s young history and a political blow from which Nehru never recovers. Battling ill health, he dies two years later.
1965: The Second Kashmir War
Housewives and students take target practice in Dhaka, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), responding to a government call to arms during India and Pakistan’s second major conflict over the disputed Kashmir region. The Second Kashmir War ends indecisively with a U.N.-mandated ceasefire.
1971: Independence for Bangladesh
Indian troops are hailed as liberators as they enter Dhaka, East Pakistan, during India and Pakistan’s third major conflict. The war ends with a decisive Indian victory and statehood for East Pakistan, which becomes known as Bangladesh.
1975: The Emergency
Beset by growing political disorder, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Nehru’s daughter, declares emergency rule. Thousands are detained during India’s flirtation with authoritarianism, but the experiment is short-lived: the Emergency is lifted in 1977 and subsequent elections sweep Gandhi and the Congress Party out of power.
1983: A Win for India
India wins the Cricket World Cup for the first and only time in the cricket-obsessed nation’s history, beating tournament favorites West Indies in the final.
1984: Gandhi Assassinated
Indira Gandhi, returned to power in 1980, is killed by her own Sikh bodyguards, leading to anti-Sikh riots in Delhi where thousands die. She is cremated by her son Rajiv (second from left) and daughter-in- law Sonia (in sunglasses) — a Prime Minister and future head of the Congress Party, respectively.
RAJEEV GANDHI – 1944 – 1991
Everyone knows that Indira’s first son, Rajiv Gandhi, was a reluctant progeny of politics. From the time of being Minister of Information in 1983 to India’s First Youngest Prime Minister.  He had the public image of being young, modern and Mr. Clean – an honest leader free of machine politics and corruption. He began dismantling the License Raj – government quotas, tariffs and permit regulations on economic activity – modernized the telecommunications industry, the education system, expanded science and technology initiatives and improved relations with the United States.
He was assassinated while campaigning, by a female suicide bomber who sought revenge for his intervention against the LTTE.
1992: The Destruction of the Babri Masjid
Far-right Hindu activists raze a 16th-century mosque, the Babri Masjid, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, claiming it had been erected on top of a Hindu temple. The destruction sparks religious riots throughout India.
1998: A New Nuclear Power
With its new Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee (third from left) in attendance, India shocks the world by detonating a nuclear weapon beneath the remote Thar Desert on May 11; two weeks later, Pakistan replies with a weapons test of its own. The prospect of two antagonistic nuclear powers on the subcontinent raises fears of nuclear war, especially after India and Pakistan clash again over Kashmir less than a year later.
2002: Gujurat Burns
After a train carrying Hindu pilgrims is allegedly set on fire by Muslims, a brutal backlash in the western state of Gujarat results in the deaths of nearly a thousand people. The riots, carried live on television nationwide, spark an outcry against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), whose officials in Gujarat are accused of being complicit in the violence.
2003: The World’s Back Office
India’s fourth-quarter GDP growth hits double-digits, thanks to bumper crops and growth in IT and outsourcing. The 10.4% rate is the fastest among emerging nations.
2004: New Faces and Old
Under Sonia Gandhi, the Italian-born widow of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, a resurgent Congress Party sweeps the ruling BJP out of power. Manmohan Singh, a former Finance Minister who spearheaded India’s economic reforms, is appointed Prime Minister.
How often do you let other people’s nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive colleague ruin your day?
Of course, for an instant you will probably be set back on your heels. However, the mark of a happy & successful person is how quickly one can get one’s focus back to what is important.
I learned it in the back of a London black cab. Here’s what happened. I hopped in a taxi at the Bank and we took off for Moorgate tube Station. We had been driving about 200 yards when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car’s back end by just inches!
Here’s what happened next. The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and instead of apologising, started yelling bad words at us.
Now, here’s what took me by surprise. Instead of getting angry or annoyed, my taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. He was actually friendly towards the other man!
I said, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’ And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Rubbish Bins.’
Many people are like rubbish bins. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their bin piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they will dump it straight on you.
When someone wants to dump on you, do not take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.
So this was it The ‘Law of the Rubbish Bins.’
